The Certificate of Cytotechnology of the Australian Society of Cytology (CTASC) is a post-graduate qualification.
The aim of the examination is to certify that the successful candidate has demonstrated high-level knowledge and competence in the theory and practice of diagnostic cytology. ASC certification is professionally recognised and acknowledged within the pathology industry and by accreditation bodies as a requirement for the practice of cytology within Australia.

Please note: Applicants must have had at least 24 months continuous membership of the Society.
Venues for future Examination centres will be decided by the Board of Examiners using results collated from the survey below.
Limit one survey response per person, responses received without identification will be discarded. The venue is determined at the October Board of Examiners meeting for the next year’s exam, therefore this survey needs to be completed before October in the year prior to be included in the decision.
Applications close on Sunday, 1 March 2021.
Application forms must be completed and sent to either admin@cytology.com.au or PO Box 52 HENLEY BEACH SA 5022 before close of business on the above date.
A colour, passport-size photo (good quality scan if emailing) must accompany the application together with certified copies of your qualifications.
